The Melting States

Disordered states have no discernible ring structure.

Disordered states are observed above a critical value of the flow rate for all the fuel-air combinations. These states are sometimes referred to as melted states because the lattice of cusps and folds which characterizes the ordered states has given way to a liquid-like motion. The critical value of the flow rate at which the disordered state is observed depends on the equivalence ratio.
